2014年第二届青年科学家世界材料大会（IUMRS-ICYRAM2014）将于2014年10月24-27日在中国海口举行。该会议由中国材料研究学会（C-MRS）和世界材料研究联合会（IUMRS）共同承办，两年举行一次，专门为40岁以下的青年学者提供学术沟通与交流的平台与机会。

Introduction:
International Conference of Young Researchers on Advanced Materials (IUMRS-ICYRAM) is a new series of conferences sponsored by International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS). The first conference (ICYRAM 2012) was organized by the Materials Research Society of Singapore, on the occasion of the launching of the new IUMRS-Global Materials Network (GMN) of young researchers. The IUMRS-GMN provides a real/cyber space platform for researchers under the age of 40 to share their research findings, to network with their global peers in research and educational collaborations. The Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS) will host the second conference of IUMRS- ICYRAM 2014. During this conference there will also be opportunities for young researchers to seek the insight and advice of successful senior researchers through plenary sessions and parallel technical sessions. In particular, there will be parallel sessions in small or large settings for focused and general discussions on all aspects of research and education collaborations. The aim is to create an environment for interaction and the exchange of perspectives across a broad range of materials- related topics. The technical program for this conference will include 16 symposia covering the following 8 fields:

E Advanced Metallic Materials
F Biomaterials
G Materials Characterization and Evaluation
H Materials Modeling and Simulation
An exhibition on Advanced Materials, Manufacturing and Testing Equipment will be held simultaneouslyduring the conference.
